According to security researchers Microsoft introduced in its latest Windows release features that will make finding security holes a way harder.According to Microsoft Vista brings together a number of security enhancements. Some of them are in place to raise the security level against direct system attacks and others encourage users to take steps that will increase the overall security awareness. After a massive attacks of Code Red and Nimda worms five years ago, Microsoft had originated a specialised unit focused at designing exploit proof features that are to be implemented in the following releases of the Microsoft's products. After having restructured its approach to software security with the Trustworthy Computing Initiative , Microsoft's revamped strategy towards security risks let to massive push to educate security aware developers and generated solid tools to root out security bugs in Microsoft products. The development of Windows Vista was the first time Microsoft has designed an operating system according to its Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) routines from the ground up ensuring the latest security standards are implemented. |
