Norton AntiVirus - System Requirements

Norton AntiVirus 2008 requires the following minumum system configuration: 

Platforms: Windows® XP/Windows Vista™*

  • 300MHz or higher processor
  • 256MB of RAM
  • 180MB of available hard disk space

Email scanning supported for POP3 and SMTP compatible email clients.

Supported instant messenger clients:

  • AOL® Instant Messenger 4.7 or higher
  • Yahoo!® Instant Messenger 5.x or 6.x
  • MSN® Messenger 6.0 or higher

REQUIRED FOR ALL INSTALLATIONS

  • DVD or CD-ROM drive
With this service you receive the right to use this product on one PC or on the specified number of PCs during the service period, which begins upon initial installation. This renewable service includes protection updates and new product features as available throughout the service period, subject to acceptance of the Symantec License Agreement included with this product and available for review at www.symantec.com. Product features may be added, modified, or removed during the service period.

*Must meet minimum Windows Vista OS System Requirements.
