All SystemWorks installations require the following minimum configuration:
- Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher (6.0 recommended)
- DVD or CD-ROM drive
- Super VGA (800x600) or higher video adapter
- Norton GoBack requires an average of 10% of total hard disk space for history
- Standard email clients are supported POP3 and SMTP scanning
Supported instant messaging clients:

- Yahoo!® Instant Messenger 5.x or 6.x
Norton SystemWorks is not intended for use with Norton Internet Security. If you want to use Norton SystemWorks, we recommend Norton SystemWorks Basic Edition.
