Norton 360 Support - Restore Backup Files
Norton 360 is a good backup / restore solution for home and small office users. You can schedule automatic backups and store your archives either locally or use Symantec's online storage space to create off-site backups.
But creating backups can prove worthless if you can't restore your files quickly and hassle-free in the event of an unforeseen disaster. Luckily, Norton 360 can easily restore backup files within minutes, instead of hours like standard backup solutions.
When restoring your files, Norton 360 displays the backup location of the most recent Backup Set you ran and the original locations of the files. This is the default setting. However, you can fine-tune some restore options to meet your needs:
|
Restore From |
Choose any of the Backup Sets to restore the files. |
|
File Types |
Select files for restoration of a given type or extension. Only files of the selected type will be extracted. |
|
Restore To |
Restore your files to their original locations (default settings) or select a new location where you want to have your files restored. |
After you've setup all restore options, you may proceed with file retrieval. To do so follow these steps:
-
Open Norton 360 main window
-
Hover over Backup
-
Click Restore Files
-
In the Restore Files window, do one or more of the following:
-
Choose the location of your backup file / location

-
-
Click Restore Files to restore selected items
