Norton 360 Support - How to Clean up Disk Clutter

Norton 360 comes with a handy feature to delete Internet clutter and other temporary or unwanted files classified as "disk clutter" in order to free up disk space and speed up disk reads.

When you run a cleanup, Norton 360 scans your PC's disks for unused or temporary files marking them for deletion. Scan procedure is fully automatic and Norton will mark unwanted files as "clutter" without asking you.

However, you not need to worry about them - these files are usually remainders of uninstalled software applications or temporary Internet files that are no longer needed, so generally they are safe to delete.

To run disk cleanup do the following:

  1. Open Norton 360 Main Window

  2. Go to PC Tuneup

  3. Click Run File Cleanup

  4. Click Close when scan completes
