Norton 360 Support - Advanced Events Monitoring

Norton 360 uses the Advanced Events Monitoring facility to check for various threats, that otherwise could not be detected. Every time you go online, malicious software and hackers can attempt to gain access to your computer by launching a selection of remote attacks.

For example they may attempt to malform the URL you are visiting, inject malicious code into running applications, record keystrokes, bypass firewall protection or execute malicious code remotely on your computer in order to gain access to it.

The Advanced Events Monitoring can prevent such attacks by very close examination of your Internet connection and data that is being transmitted. However, you can turn on Advanced Events Monitoring in Norton 360 only if you turn the Automatic Program Control off.

Once Advanced Events Monitoring is switched on, it will display a large number of firewall warnings and alerts. These can be disabled by turning Silent Mode on.
