Norton 360 Support - How to Schedule Performance and Security Scan
How to Schedule Performance and Security Scan in Norton 360
Norton 360 comes with some convenient features to automatically scan your system for security and performance issues. You can use automatic scans to periodically examine your PC for problems and to solve them as they arise.
To setup scheduled performance and security scans under Norton 360, use the Task Scheduling settings. Task Scheduling allows you to set how often you wish your system examined by Norton.
Available options are Automatic (Norton will examine any issues as they arise), Weekly (your computer is scrutinised every 7 days), Monthly (scans are performed every month), and Manual Schedule (scheduled performance & security scan is turned off and you should do this manually every time you feel it's needed).
Norton 360 performs scheduled scans only when your PC is idle when the option Only run at idle time is turned on. Make sure to do this, because it will reduce the impact on your system's performance during normal work.
In order to schedule security and performance scans in Norton 360 do the following:
-
Go to Norton 360 main window, and click Settings
-
Click Tasks Scheduling in the Settings window
-
Select the appropriate option in the Schedule drop-down
-
Click Apply
-
Click Close
