Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 shows "PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.wcd". Is this a false-positive?
Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is known for a minor error that falsely identifies a threat where there is no threat called PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.wcd on your system. In this KIS support topic we're explaining how to remove the false-positive report from your Quarantine items list.
The PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.wcd is reported in your "Detected threats" window but you can safely ignore the message because it's known as a false-positive.
To permanently remove this misreport from your security reports do the following:
- Open Kaspersky Main Window and click the Quarantine box in the upper area of the window.
- In the Protection state window that pops up, switch to the Detected threats tab and select all from the drop-down list.
- The list of quarantined items will show up. Select the PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic.wcd identified as "unknown threat", right click this item and select the delete or clear from list option.
- Confirm your selection by clicking Yes in the pop-up window.
